Everythin’s comin up Rosy for Abby Scott..
Sunday, 31st October 2010October 2010 hails the release of not only Abby Scott’s debut album, but her catapult into a brand new world.
This 26 year old singer songwriter, who was performing long before she had a stage, is now painting her colourful universe, and no one can stop her..
A Farmer’s daughter, born in Woodplumpton, Lancashire, Abby knows the value of what she calls “the sweet life”, being head over heels in love with the simple things.
No-one can deny her Old Soul. It’s in her love of everything Vintage. It’s in the soothing familiarity of her voice. It’s in her family values. It’s in her faith.
The album ‘Have Your Cake…’ is a quirky concoction of vivid pop and smoky jazz, meeting somewhere in the middle. Her irresistable way of telling her own stories, takes you on a fairground ride of emotions. Talking of emotions, Abby married the love of her life, world-renowned singer-songwriter Chris Eaton in 2009. Chris, whose pop success has graced the careers of Janet Jackson, Amy Grant, Donna Summer, Sir Cliff Richard, Jordin Sparks, Keith Urban, and many more, has co-written and produced Abby’s album, along with Sting’s producer Kipper, and accomplished musician Mark ‘Maestro’ Walker. In such high-quality company as this, you would expect ‘Have Your Cake…’ to taste sweet. It does not disappoint!
Now is the time for the big fairground ride to begin. With her fantastic live band, Abby is the whole package.. Take this journey with her, and it will last a lifetime.
We are proud to announce that Abby’s cover of ‘Black & Gold’ is going to be ‘Record of the Week’ on Jazz FM on Christian Bragg’s show!
